Water level keeps dropping
The water line falls faster than evaporation alone would explain, even when the pool isn’t being used.

You find yourself adding water far more often than you used to, or a higher-than-expected water bill catches your eye.

Damp or eroded ground
Persistently wet spots, soft or sinking soil, or washed-out areas near the pool, deck, or equipment pad.

New cracks in the shell, deck, or tile, or movement in the surrounding structure that wasn’t there before.
